The insirational story of Sylvester
Stallone’s life is breathtaking and for many people surprising at the same time
as he came through various obstacles with patience and endurance in his life,
which not everybody from us would have. Majority does not know the problems he
fought against in the beginning.
Sylvester was born by forceps delivery
that caused a paralysis of his mimic muscles which not only made his
childhood difficult, moreover, teachers at the primary school advised him not
to think of acting with such a handicap. His brother, by the way, is an
actor, a song writer and a singer as well. Yes, from the beginning
Sylvester knew, what he wants from life. He knew he wanted to become an actor.
After he moved to New York, nobody wanted
to sign a contract with him. He spent three weeks homeless at the New
Jersey Terminal, because he did not have any money to pay for any accommodation.
Due to the shortage of money he acted in an erotic movie after which he
got 200 Dollars. Moreover, the situation pushed him to sell his beloved dog,
his best friend, to one stranger. Financially bankrupted, but mentally still very
strong.
One day as he watched Muhammad Ali,
a bright idea came to his head. He realised he would write a script.
Ready in just three days with his script about Rocky, he went from door to door
begging and persuading, but no producer welcomed his work. However, he did not
give up. After some time, finally, he found his success as one producer really
had an interest in his script and offered him 25 000 Dollars for it.
Sylvester conditioned the future contract with the fact that he would have
a starring role of Rocky. The producer did not agree by any means, but
definitely wanted to buy the script, therefore he offered Sylvester an amount
of 250 000 Dollars in case Sylvester would not play the main role.
After longer repeated negotiations they
came to a final agreement. The contract earned Sylvester even a lot more
money and was signed under the conditions that Sylvester would play the main
role of Rocky and the stranger with his dog take part in the movie. The last
condition was a bit curious and stemmed from the fact that as Sylvester
wanted to buy his beloved dog back, the stranger insisted on taking part in the
film together with the dog and sold the dog back to him for 15 000
Dollars. The Rocky earned more than 200 Million Dollars and so far there is
a huge amount of successful movies by Sylvester Stallone which made him
one of the most famous actors all over the world. So strong the will can be.
